Vanity conversions. If you’re having trouble finding the right vanity for your home at your local furniture store, try thinking outside the box. Many homeowners are finding old vintage furniture, chests of drawers, old file cabinets and other pieces, then having them converted into vanities. It’s a very unique approach, and if done correctly it can make a huge statement in your bathroom.

Combining shades of white. Lighter colors are coming into style again. Specifically, shades of white used together in the same room. For example: White walls with eggshell or off white trim or furniture accents.

Outdoor-feeling indoor showers. An outdoor shower is often very desirable but not very practical in regions with seasonal weather. To get around the weather dilemma, homeowners are looking to intimate courtyards and strategic site placement to create bathrooms that connect to the outdoors while still maintaining indoor privacy.

Brass. Copper is out and brass is in. Brass fixtures, hinges and accents used to be huge decades ago but pretty much went away for good. Recently it has made a comeback into interior design. When used correctly and with the right color scheme it is sure to make a statement in your home.
